Notes

• This is a demo site that is still under development.

• At this stage in development, user registration is focused more on identifying individual players rather than complete security. User info is relatively secure (following notes explain this in more detail). However, proceed as if anybody has full access to your account. This means you may want to use a fake e-mail and do not use a password you have used elsewhere (in fact, you should never reuse passwords).

• There is no mail server running. This means that there is no password recovery. Don't forget your credentials.

• Your e-mail address is used for nothing other than logging in to the site. Although it is required, must be of the form of an e-mail address and must be unique, there is no confirmation e-mail, so you may use a fake address if you wish.

• Username is optional. It is provided in case you would like to use something shorter or cooler than your e-mail. You can log in with either your e-mail or username.

• Passwords are stored securely such that even someone with access to the database would be unable to determine what it is. However, for the reasons listed above, and the possibility of accessing the site without SSL, this is about the only situation in which you are encouraged to use a simple, throw-away password such as "password."

• Nickname may be used if you prefer "Bill" to "William," or if you want to be referred to as "The Kraken." If it is left blank, your nickname will be set to your first name.
